I really enjoyed this Taste of Web program, I learnt a lot of different things ranging from creating my own blog account to socializing websites and music videos. I joined in forums and it was just great. It was a great quick and easy experience.

Module 6

Myspace
Myspace is a great website for catching up with old friends, socialising with new people that you haven't met. It has its own dangerous ways but you may turn your profile on private to keep safe and add people that you know. You can upload a profile photo, create your own profile and comment other people. Simple and easy is all you need. Perfect socialising website for teenagers to adults!

Facebook
Facebook is a socialising website for older adults that wish to meet new friends. Many celebrities and well-known people have one and is frequently used in America. Though I personally prefer Myspace to Facebook, it's actually pretty similiar. Facebook can be harder to use in its own ways but it's easy as you slowly get used to it. You can do the same things as in Myspace so create an account now !

Secondlife
Secondlife is a virtual reality website where you create your own character and play in 3D mode. I find it okay, I'm not really the gaming type. It's similiar to Runescape, Maple Story and Warcraft that many children play nowadays. Playing it is pretty hard at the start but it gradually gets easier. I find this website great for older people than younger.

Skype
Skype, it's great. You can talk to people just like your talking on the phone but for free. The sound quality I find is even better than communicating to people on MSN using the microphone option. There's hardly any stutters and it's a great free way to stay in touch with family overseas. You won't need to waste any money and the quality is pretty similiar to when your calling overseas on the phone.

Module 5

iGoogle
The igoogle exercise was okay, though before that I never knew Google had so many different things on it, even a Google sort facebook! iGoogle is pretty cool, you can check the weather on it, go on MSN, read the news ... a whole new world opens up on just one website. If I could, I would suggest iGoogle to make their own new sort of chatting device like MSN, ending with @google.com. Google has made a whole lot of improvements from the very last time I visited it. There are many new choices of activities that you could do in your spare time. Thinking about it, I actually would like to work at Google. Most of the time you would probably be just sitting there in front of a computer making changes, it's already pretty modern. You won't need to do much, updating probably. It's a pretty free job.

Google Maps
After going on Google map, I checked a few more houses out and eventually realised that it invaded people's privacy. It's not very safe, as on foxfm a listener actually saw a old lady nude in front of her house. It would be pretty easy for someone to get stalked, finding where they live and getting a picture of it. Not that safe as I said before ... and you can even get directions now! Pretty handy thing though pretty dangerous.

Module 4

Youtube
This video is of I kissed a girl, it's a parody version, pretty funny. Most of the videos on Youtube are pretty awesome, but it's just fuzzy and blury most of the time. They could improve it I guess and I would watch videos on there more often :)
There were many funny videos and some were shocking too, but I found this one very funny so I put it on.

Podcasts
I found the podcasts pretty interesting really. There was this one on fox fm about the how the Biggest Thing happened by Hamish&Andy. I obviously missed out on the way home, so they published it onto their website as a podcast. I listened to it on the website and it was pretty hooking, but later found out nothing really happened at all. It was very funny though. I learnt that podcasts actually replay what you missed, it's pretty useful. Anything important you missed out on; just find the podcast and all you need to do is play it over and over again, as many times as you like.

Downloadable Audio Books
The Downloadable Audio Books that I checked out are pretty fascinating. Instead of reading the book, it reads it to you. I found it similiar to the ones at the Thomastown Library, how it's in a case and theres a CD or tape inside. But the difference is that it is online instead. Great for lazy people that are willing to click a few clicks on a hyperlink and listen. Just sit back and relax and listen to the story, for free! Technology is taking over ...

Module 3

LibraryThing
http://www.librarything.com/catalog/teresaah --> Have a look at my online library thing. You can rate books and discuss it online and get recommendations by other people. It's all just on one easy website with just a click of a button away. You won't have to join any sort of forums, instead you can just read what reader's thought of it. It's a great way to share new books. The one book that I really enjoyed; City of Bones was extremely popular and read by many people that enjoyed it. We are now awaiting the new book to come out called City of Ashes.

Module 2

Flickr
I found these chucks on Flickr and their pretty awesome, better than my chucks. I never knew you could find pictures on Flickr, just thought it was a socializing sort of website, similiar to Myspace. This website's great for school projects and assignments and just by looking at a picture you can learn new photography skills ! It's pretty cool.

Module 1

Introduction
This blog sounds like so much fun. I hope it will be worthwhile, and at the same time I'm picking up new skills. I never knew you could make your own blog and for free! This is a great experience to share my ideas and show people what I think about websites :)
